  Just last Monday, I had to take leave from work to attend to deliveries and meetings, I rented a car, jam packed with goods and had to run errands all over the island. I left the house at 9am and only got back at 7pm. It was tiring for sure, but it was so so fulfilling. I came back physically drained but mentally more energetic than when I left the house. Wow. . A business is more than just buying and selling, anyone can do that with some unwanted items and a carousell account. For me, Concrete Everything is an avenue to connect to people, fulfill their needs and increase their awareness of good design and beautiful things. Its amazing for me to see how odd our tastes as Singaporeans are, but that's another story altogether. Workshops are a great way, not just to sell products, but get to know people who appreciate good design and most importantly, to share knowledge and create a marketplace where like-minded people come together. It's a big deal for me, and yes I am proud of it, lolz. I am so glad our workshops got some coverage from the awesome people at Straits Times (Natasha to be exact). Our workshops held at Naiise were covered and through the interview, it got me thinking on how far back we've started (actually not really far but..) and how our workshops started, developed and drew in people from all walks of life. It has indeed been a journey and aside from designing, teaching and getting to know people was something I enjoyed very much. Many of you have asked, how did Concrete Everything started? As a person from the creative industry (I'm not necessarily creative), I always feel ideas coming in from everything and anything. Here are a list of things that I often get inspired by and feel, have you had such a similar urge/experience before? 1) Problems around you There are problems all around us, dirty toilets, rude people, badly done up magazines. I always tell others, why don't you do something about it? So births forth a beginning of an idea that can develop and form into something exciting for you. Our journey has been a short one so far, from little beginnings almost a year ago. I want to share our story with you, firstly to share with you chasing after my passion and secondly to give everyone out there with some entrepreneurial spirit to pursue your dreams. Through our weekly stories, I will share with you little advice at how you can take a shortcut, a smoother path into realizing your dream.
